The Making History Gala is an event to celebrate black entrepreneurs in Vancouver Island. This event shows great honour in the independent efforts and business contribution to Victoria and surrounding areas, as well as an easier way of marketing and gain business relationships no matter the occupation or status of business

This was a celebration in 2012 with the owner of Who Dyd Your Hair Multicultural Hair Salon acknowledging ten entrepreneurs in her life from when she started her business four years prior. There was food, dancing, and guests from the salon being introduced to the other black businesses in Victoria, BC.

With over 50 entrepreneurs and counting, this became an annual business hub for the black community that everyone looks forward to. This black-tie event gets everyone ready to walk the red carpet, enjoy local talent, watch a fashion show, and an awards ceremony like no other!
